Channel Manager

bluefort is a software firm focused on designing and engineering solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform, and bringing these offerings to partners and ultimately to end customers operating subscription and recurring revenue business models.

The Channel Manager is responsible for generating sales in the channels bluefort operates in. bluefort’s channels consist of our alliance with Microsoft, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner channel, consisting of hundreds of companies, and lastly affiliated partners that connect to end customers. The Channel Manager will engage with Microsoft in various countries and with Dynamics’ 365 partners in the ecosystem with the purpose of onboarding bluefort’s software solutions and becoming active resellers. The performance of the Channel Manager is based on the volume of influenced sales through the channels. The Channel Manager teams up closely with the CCO, presales and the Product Marketing Manager to reach the target.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a partner map that matches with bluefort’s software solution offerings
  • Engage with sales and executives at Dynamics 365 partners, building relationships resulting in signed partner agreements
  • Connect with key team members within Microsoft, building strong relationships resulting in lead generation and partner introductions
  • Activate new partners and drive partner account management
  • Work together with bluefort’s marketing team and connect them with partners resulting in partner-driven marketing campaigns, including bluefort’s software solutions, resulting in lead generation
  • Proactively manage partner deals and pipeline
  • Proactively plan and execute Go-To-Market plans with partners
  • Organise bluefort software sales meetings and demonstrations for partner’s prospects
  • Attend partner and Microsoft events
  • Organise partner meetings and events
  • Manage and fulfil partner agreements in conjunction with legal and finance
  • Engage with the services team to deliver partner requested services
  • Engage with the support team to ensure partner satisfaction
  • Sign new agreements with partners in collaboration with the CCO
  • Proactively bring in new ideas and innovation in digital partner engagement in collaboration with the CCO
  • Monitor and report partner status internally and externally

Skills, Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Proven business acumen through experience and/or bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in establishing and managing business partnerships between distributors, software vendors (ISV’s) and resellers of system integrators
  • Excellent grasp of business fundamentals, channel development, business planning and excellence in execution.
  • Experience in B2B Sales
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target partners and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate partners to sign up
  • Proven working experience in software or business application space
  • Executive maturity with the ability to develop strong relationships across all levels at partners and Microsoft
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven analytical experience with sales, trend analysis, plan-o-grams, forecasting market and market share, assortment development to help drive accurate sell-through forecasts
  • Proven track-record of developing Joint Business Plans and Strategies for new business development and product launches
